Description
Product Overview 87234D/E/F/L USB Peak/Average power meter is a diode detection type broadband power measuring instrument based on USB 2.0 interface, which can achieve accurate average power measurement, pulse power measurement in a large dynamic range and CCDF statistical measurement analysis. Frequency range covers 50MHz ~ 67GHz, maximum power accuracy up to 0.2dB, video bandwidth ≥30MHz, rise/fall time ≤13ns. This product is small in size, light in weight, and uses USB interface for power supply and communication. It can be connected to a computer, and can flexibly expand the power measurement function of electronic measuring instruments and test systems. It is mainly used for field testing, production line testing and system integration.
Frequency up to 67GHz The 87234 series covers a frequency range of 50MHz to 67GHz and can complete peak power measurement in the development, production, installation and maintenance of most coaxial band products.
Excellent dynamic range and accuracy The 87234 series features average power measurements as low as -45 DBM and pulse envelope measurements as low as -35 DBM, with power measurement accuracy up to 0.2dB. Support for external triggering in average mode only, by adjusting the aperture size and trigger delay, the user can choose to measure any part of the waveform. This feature does not require trace display and provides pulse power measurements as low as -45dBm.
CCDF Statistical Analysis CCDF is defined as how much time a signal is at or above a given power level. For example, designers of components such as power amplifiers compare the CCDF curves of the input and output signals of power amplifiers, and well-designed components produce curves that overlap each other. If the amplifier compresses the signal, the peak-to-average ratio of the signal at the output of the amplifier will be reduced, and the designer will need to improve the linearity of the amplifier to handle peak power.
Fast rise Time and fall time The 87234 series has a maximum video bandwidth of 30MHz and a rise/fall time of 13ns, and can measure pulse signals with a pulse width of 50ns.
Internal zero calibration 87234 Series With an internal switching circuit, the USB peak/average power meter can be zeroed when connected to the device under test. Therefore, the measurement speed is accelerated, the wear of the connector is reduced, and the measurement uncertainty is reduced.
Trigger input function The 87234 series has a built-in trigger input function that connects external trigger signals from the signal source or device under test to a USB peak/average power meter via a standard cable, enabling the precise triggering of small signals close to the signal noise limit.
Automatic measurement function The automatic measurement function can help users to obtain the measurement result when the pulse modulation signal is measured. The automatic measurement function includes 16 pulse power and time parameters. Power parameters: peak power, minimum power, average power, top power, bottom power, peak-to-average ratio, overshoot, pulse top drop. Time parameters: pulse width, pulse period, pulse frequency, edge delay, rising time, falling time, duty cycle, closing time.
The 87234 series measures up to 50,000 readings per second in buffered mode.
Built-in radar and wireless presetting Using the presetting function, you can directly call the measurement Settings of 23 common wireless communication formats such as GSM900, EDGE, NADC, iDEN, Bluetooth, CDMAOne, CDMA2000, etc., reducing user setup time.
External trigger buffer measurement is a very efficient measurement mode, which can customize the measurement sequence according to the test requirements. The measurement results are cached in real time, and all the measurement results can be read after the completion of the entire measurement sequence. This mode is usually used for power scanning measurement. Step sweep frequency measurement; Scenarios such as list measurement based on communication signal time slot and frame structure. The measurement mode is connected to the measured device through the hardware handshake, ensuring that the 87234 series can quickly perform each measurement of the custom sequence, and greatly shorten the measurement time and improve the measurement efficiency when the number of measurement points increases sharply.
The 87234 series is a full-featured power measurement device that does not require a power meter host or external power supply, and can be connected to a computer through a USB interface for power measurement, so it is suitable for field testing. With the power measurement soft panel, the measurement results and data of various display formats can be obtained intuitively.
