Traditional oscilloscopes have simple circuit structures, narrow frequency bands, and poor scanning linearity, and are only used to observe waveforms.

Digital oscilloscope：It has a microprocessor inside and a digital display outside. Some products can display both waveforms and characters on the oscilloscope screen. The measured signal is sent to the data storage device through the analog-to-digital converter (A/D converter). Through keyboard operation, the captured waveform parameter data can be added, subtracted, multiplied, divided, averaged, squared, and root-mean-squared, and the answer number can be displayed.

So,oscilloscopes are more expensive than digital oscilloscopes.
